Creative Administrative Assistant (remote)

Manayunk Calligraphy is looking for a Creative Administrative Assistant! As the Creative Administrative Assistant, you will perform various administrative and creative tasks, including answering emails., managing wedding and custom order requests, developing content for social media and researching and identifying upcoming trends in design. Ultimately, you should be able to handle administrative and creative projects and deliver high-quality work under minimum supervision.

This is position can be performed remotely at any time of day - no need for availability from 9 - 5!  While hours will vary, the average work week will be 2-4 hours. You will have an opportunity to take initiative on creative projects, which may provide an opportunity for additional hours. Hourly rate will be dependent on experience. You will be required to submit your hours on a weekly basis, and payment will be made bi-weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service as first point of contact
  • Respond to emails and Etsy requests
  • Manage wedding contracts
  • Manage custom order calendar
  • Build and manage contact lists
  • Compile quarterly sales reports
  • Assist in the creation of social media content
  • Research trends in hand-lettering and design
  • Assist with product development as necessary
  • Other administrative and creative tasks as necessary

Requirements

  • Experience and interest in creative field
  • Experience with social media, particularly blogging
  • Familiarity with Google Document and cloud document management systems
  • Experience with word-processing software and spreadsheets (e.g. MS Office)
  • Knowledge of online calendars and scheduling (e.g. Google Calendar)
  • Excellent email communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Solid internet connection

Optional, But Preferred

  • Experience with digital photography and knowledge of Photoshop
  • Experience with marketing and PR 
  • Located within 2 hours of Indianapolis, Indiana
