You've learned the basics of modern calligraphy - now what? If you are ready to take your calligraphy to the next level, you need to develop your own style. But how? In this intensive bootcamp, professional calligrapher Kimberly Shrack of Manayunk Calligraphy will walk you through all the steps she takes when creating her styles. Along the way, she'll offer professional tips and provide feedback on your creations. By the time you leave the bootcamp, you'll not only feel confident in your ability to create your own unique style, but you'll also have the beginnings of that style down on paper!

PREREQUISITE: Knowledge of modern calligraphy with brush marker or pointed pen - if you have taken a Manayunk Calligraphy basics course either in-person or online, you will be well-prepared!

  • Pointed pen supplies (pen holder, nib, ink) OR brush marker(s)
  • Lined or grid paper
  • Pencil & eraser
  • Mobile device with Pinterest downloaded
  • A basic knowledge of modern calligraphy
  • A creative brain and kick-ass attitude!

Because space is so limited, workshops are non-refundable. If you're unable to make the workshop, you're welcome to transfer your seat to someone else, but that should be done at least 24 hours before the workshop. Requests made after this time cannot be accommodated.
